1. What are the basic plot events of the chapter? -Description of Mr. Utterson
-Mr. Utterson and Mr. Enfield go for a walk
-Mr. Enfield starts talking about a strange happening: a girl and a man ran into each other one night. The man was about to just run away but Mr. Enfield catches him. The whole crowd dislikes the man and wants Mr. Hyde to pay money. Mr. Hyde brings the money but his check is signed with the name of a respectable and famous man. Everyone becomes suspicious.
-Mr. Utterson and Mr. Enfield end their conversation with a promise to not talk about this subject.
2. What are most significant revelations or events in the chapter?
One of the most significant event is that Mr. Utterson gets to hear the story from Mr. Enfield because Mr. Utterson gets interested and starts trying to find out more about Mr. Hyde. Also, the event that one night with Mr. Hyde and the girl is also important because it introduces the characters to us.
3. From whose POV are the events related? These events are related in the point of view of Mr. Enfield and some in the point of view of Mr. Utterson. Other times, it’s just third person omniscient.
